Challenge
The client, a prestigious international group operating in the Engineering & Construction sector, asked for Qintesi’s support and expertise in order to re-organise and complete the SAP group control model (Management and IFRS). The logistics and management processes in the various foreign subsidiaries were adapted to the civil and tax requirements (delta GAAP management) in which the client company operates. The project was carried out in a dynamic, international and evolving environment with a roadmap with defined and challenging timelines.
Solution
The project was organized into several projectual streams, integrated and sometimes parallel to each other but always within the same overall design. The streams, which are intended to cover the processes typical of realities that work by order, are:
- involving of Accounting and Finance (SAP FI) modules, Controlling (SAP CO), Project Controlling (SAP PS), Supply Chain (SAP MM), Sales and After Sales (SAP SD), to define the model and the actual transitional processes;
- involving of Reporting AFC (SAP BW), Group Consolidation IFRS (SAP BPC), Consolidated Job Order and Management (SAP BPC), Cash Flow of Legal entity and of order (SAP BPC)
- Roll out of the solution defined at Italian Headquarters level to foreign subsidiaries (USA, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, China, Germany and India)
Results
- Adaptation and complementation of SAP model to the new control Adaptation model
- Time optimisation in monthly management closures
- Standardization of processes in all foreign Processes Group companies
