SAP Cloud Platform for VAT Group Management

Challenge

The customer, operating in the insurance sector, has expressed the need to equip itself with a tool capable of supporting the procedures concerning the management of the VAT Group and VAT settlement and to be compliant with the new legislation, with an innovative technology related to the use of SAP CLOUD PLATFORM.

Solution

The solution suggested by Qintesi was to benefit from the advantages of the SAP Cloud Platform by proposing the implementation of SAP VAT Group which allowed to:

• manage the VAT Group application scope and its composition
• manage the “consolidation” procedure of the VAT Group data, the calculation of the VAT position: group, corporate and by activity code
• manage the % of pro-rata of the group, the VAT register view of the Group, the group VAT periodic liquidation view, the quarterly communication view, the annual VAT declaration view, the intrastat view, the “esterometer” view
• manage accounting records and record them automatically.
