Challenge<\/h4>

In a context in which companies are required to complete the consolidation process as quickly as possible,\u00a0SAP Group Reporting<\/b>\u00a0becomes the new spearhead of SAP for the preparation of consolidated financial statements. The Customer, an important\u00a0Italian Group in the integrated mobility sector<\/b>, has chosen to adopt the new SAP tool to replace the previous technological tools of the Office suite to consolidate the final and forecast data.<\/p>

Solution<\/h4>

The Client\u2019s objective was to\u00a0govern the consolidation process<\/b>\u00a0in a structured way by equipping himself with the application that could best\u00a0support the group also in its long-term vision<\/b>. For this reason, the choice fell on Group Reporting, the new consolidation tool developed by SAP. Group Reporting is\u00a0natively integrated\u00a0<\/b>into the SAP S\/4HANA accounting system from which it inherits personal data, data and, more technically, a HANA Database that guarantees high performance in terms of data processing times.<\/p>

With Group Reporting, the Group has managed to\u00a0bring together\u00a0<\/b>the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in the final and forecast views\u00a0in a single tool and repository<\/b>, integrating the needs of the consolidated, accounting and management control offices. The Group Reporting therefore accepts\u00a0accounting data present in the Universal Journal table<\/b>\u00a0updated in real time and\u00a0incorporates the management data<\/b>\u00a0residing in the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation tool.<\/p>

The need to standardize the reporting needs of the Group, making the Disclosure process faster and providing the Customer with a more functional management tool than the classic Excel sheet, has found excellent results with Group Reporting: in fact,\u00a0different versions comparable to each other also thanks to the use of a single group chart of accounts and reports that compare the results of the different views<\/b>\u00a0have been foreseen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    The customer came from a situation in which he struggled between two distinct flows, a civil law point of view and a managerial one. Now everything is much more efficient: by conveying in a single tool and in a single interface, but also in a single repository, and by establishing shared and equal consolidation steps for both views, everything has become more homogeneous and rapid.
