Challenge<\/h4>

The Client, which operates in the\u00a0hospitality sector<\/b>\u00a0and already uses SAP S\/4HANA, wanted to equip itself with the FS-CM Treasury module in order to improve the\u00a0management of payment and collection processes<\/b>.<\/p>

The main objective is to better \u201csupervise\u201d the payment processes and improve the reconciliations on proceeds and suspended payments, in order to initiate appropriate reminder actions on certain customers.<\/p>

Solution<\/h4>

The\u00a0objectives\u00a0<\/b>that the Client intended to achieve within the project are the following:<\/p>

  • Payment process<\/b>
    • Automatically send an email to suppliers with the list of paid invoices. This allows the supplier office to receive fewer emails \/ phone calls.<\/li>
    • Integration with the SIA system to make the payment arrangement process safer. This integration made it possible to avoid the manual upload \/ download of files.<\/li>
    • Activation of transactions relating to free and armored payments. The goal is to avoid carrying out transactions directly in Remote Banking.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

      \u00a0<\/p>

      • Collection process<\/b>
        • Receipt reconciliation dashboard: development of a dashboard to better manage receipts reconciliation, according to the complex logic of the Hospitality sector. Starting from the bank positions, the dashboard allows you to make total, partial reconciliations and with clearing of passive invoices.<\/li>
        • Reminder management: activation of the standard SAP functions relating to reminders.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          • Cash Management Reporting<\/b>
            • Activation of SAP Cash Management reporting in order to obtain a short-term forecast of financial flows for all bank current accounts.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

              • Petty Cash<\/b>
                • Activation of the cash box for the> 30 hotels. For greater control of cash collections, the process of acquiring \/ depositing cash in the bank was also modified.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

                  • \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tImprovement of the collection process: this made it possible to identify the non-reconciled more efficiently, in order to promptly address any reminder actions to payments.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

                    With SAP FS-CM, the Client has improved the payment and collection processes, limiting the operational risk of payment orders and anticipating the reconciliation operations of collections. With greater efficiency in the reconciliation of collections, the reminder operations have proved to be more effective and timely, thus making cash flows in the short term more efficient.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
