Challenge<\/h4>

Our customer, operating in the insurance sector, expressed the following needs:<\/p>

  • To\u00a0centralize\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0streamline the systems<\/b>\u00a0responsible for the administrative management of technical processes.<\/b><\/li>
  • To\u00a0streamline<\/b>\u00a0the\u00a0Data Collection process\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0govern the flows between technical systems, accounting environment, Data Warehouses\u00a0<\/b>and other\u00a0Reporting systems<\/b>.<\/li>
  • To increase the Data Quality level.<\/b><\/li>
  • To standardize the data model and the transactional functionalities of technical processes<\/b>, also in a perspective of using a structured Treasury system and\u00a0in view of the adoption of IFRS17<\/b>.<\/li>
  • To expand the functional scope of SAP FS-CD<\/b>\u00a0(already in use in other management areas), to exploit its potential.<\/li><\/ul>

    \u00a0<\/h4>

    Solution<\/h4>

    The solution proposed by Qintesi led to managing all the claims-related processes in SAP FS-CD, starting from a model (Baseline Qintesi) which is the result of the experience gained in implementation projects conducted at the main Italian insurance companies. In summary:<\/p>

    • A data\u00a0model\u00a0<\/b>has been defined\u00a0to standardize the information coming from the different technical conferring systems.<\/b><\/li>
    • All the\u00a0interfaces\u00a0<\/b>necessary for the dialogue\u00a0between the technical systems and SAP FS-CD were designed and implemented.<\/b><\/li>
    • The personal data<\/b>\u00a0(subjects and objects of claim type)\u00a0were managed<\/b>\u00a0through the\u00a0management functions of the Business Partners and the Insurance Objects of SAP FS-CD.<\/b><\/li>
    • Technical loads were acquired and recorded from claims systems<\/b>\u00a0(including pre-calculated lump sums and debit lump sum payments).<\/li>
    • Payment requests were produced and managed<\/b>\u00a0through the automatic payment processing and related payment methods of SAP FS-CD.<\/li>
    • Transfers and cancellations were also handled through the standard transfer transactions<\/b>\u00a0of SAP FS-CD documents.<\/li>
    • Relevant information for the production of stamped records was returned to the technical system\u00a0<\/b>via an integration stream outgoing from SAP FS-CD.<\/li>
    • The Settlement Expenses were managed by acquiring the accounting movements relating to the technical charges<\/b>\u00a0through the functionality of SAP FS-CD on the individual professional (Business Partner)\u00a0and reconciliation<\/b>, via transitory, in SAP FI, \u200b\u200bof the technical charges transferred by SAP FSCD and of the parcels registered in SAP FI.<\/b><\/li>
    • Reporting was managed using standard SAP FS-CD tools\u00a0<\/b>(operational reports) and through the model proposed by Qintesi for management reporting, which is based on the Data Warehouse BW.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
